Alice I. Sharp, 83, of Frankfort, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.
She was born May 4, 1934, in Tompkinsville, KY, to Clarence and Anna Sewell Denham. Alice married Everett Allen who preceded her in death. On March 10, 1984, she married Joseph âJoeâ Sharp in Las Vegas; he preceded her in death.
Alice moved to Frankfort as a child and has been a life-long resident of the area. She graduated from Frankfort High School. Alice worked at Peter Paul for 16 years before it closed, for ten years at Wesley Manor in the maintenance department, and later as a cook at the Clinton County Sheriffâs Office for ten years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, American Legion Ladiesâ Auxiliary, VFW Ladiesâ Auxiliary, Ladiesâ of the Moose, Elkets, and Eagles Ladiesâ Auxiliary.
Surviving Alice are her children, Rhonda (Don) Dale and Steve (Tammy) Allen, both of Frankfort; step-son, Jeff Sharp, of Frankfort; brother, Fred Denham, of Frankfort; sisters, Elva (Don) Reeder and Ina Cook, both of Frankfort; sister-in-law, Thelma Denham, of Sarasota, FL; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, Alice is preceded in death by her son, David Allen; step-sons, Vince Sharp and Barry Sharp; brother, Rex Denham; sister, Alesa Allen; sister-in-law, Mary Denham.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 1:00 p.m. to the start of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
