Allan G. ""Mike"" Jones

Allan G. “Mike” Jones, 73, of rural Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

He was born January 27, 1943, in Kokomo, to the late Gilbert H. and Dorothy M. Wiley Jones.  Mike grew up in Rossville and graduated from Rossville High School in 1961.  He later received his bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Purdue University.

Mike was a tool and die maker for Delco in Kokomo for over 30 years.  He was an avid reader and enjoyed farm auctions, hunting, and tinkering around his farm.  Mike attended Faith Family Church in Frankfort, and was a member of Frankfort Eagles Lodge 976.

Surviving Mike are two sons, Chris Jones, of Romney, and Michael Lance Jones, of Lafayette, CO; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Speer, of Lafayette; and sister, Marsha (Rob) Zoll, of Green Bay, WI.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Ron Masters will officiate.  Burial will follow in Fair Haven Cemetery in Mulberry.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mike’s name may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
