Alvin R. Bradley, 78, of Frankfort, died at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, May 9 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born Oct. 14, 1933 in Indianapolis, to Roy W. and Gladys (Able) Bradley. He married Phyllis R. McGinnis May 24, 1954. She survives.
Mr. Bradley attended Kokomo schools. He was a brick mason from the age of 14 until retirement at 60. He moved from Kokomo to Frankfort in 1951. He was a member of Eagles No. 976, bowled in Eagles Travel League, and spoiled his dogs, Nally and Pepper.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Melinda Rothenberger of Frankfort and Deanna (Bill) Sexton of Rossville; two sisters: Bernice Harrington of Georgia and Marilou Hall of Frankfort; one brother: Chuck Bradley of Frankfort; and grandchildren: Crystal Wright, Billy Sexton, Denita Sexton, Shea Sexton, Amy Abbott, Jeremy Winchester and Matt Douglas, also Michelle Darnell and Bobbie Emmons, who were raised in the home of their grandparents; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two daughters: Brenda Gains and Rhonda Bradley; and one sister: Maryan Sanlsberry.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 11 at Genda Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at the funeral home, with Pastor Ed Pearson officiating. Entombment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Clinton County.
