Alvin Ray Roberts, 67, of lifelong Frankfort resident, died on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.
He was born April 10, 1945, in Monticello, KY, the son of Charles and Mima Etta Burnette Roberts.
On August 22, 1965, Alvin married the former Esther Chandler; she survives.
Alvin attended Frankfort Schools. He worked at the former Smurfit Container in Frankfort for 22 years and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Edward (Jodelle) Roberts, John (Lisa) Roberts, Brett (Holly) Roberts, and Tina (Steve) Wright, all of Frankfort; one brother, Floyd Roberts; and 13 grandchildren, Zach, Vinnie, Dylan, Kristian, Chelsea, Kendra, Colten, Ryan, Rayden, Ed, Macy, Addisyn, and Lindsay.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Pastor James Spaulding will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.
