Annabel Fern Hanna

Annabel Fern Hanna, 91, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Flora, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, September 22, 2018.  She was born in Whitley County, September 18, 1927 to Owen and Fern (Quinn) Zumbrun.  She was a graduate of Columbia City High School and then attended International Business College in Fort Wayne.  There she became close friends with Louann (Hanna) Starkey.  She introduced Annabel to her brother, Ralph to whom she married December 28, 1947.  He preceded her in death, July 27, 1973.  Annabel was a member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Bachelor Run Church of the Brethren, and Carroll County Country Club.  She enjoyed golfing, going for walks, and wintering down in Florida.

Mrs. Hanna is survived by her three children, Randy (Winston) Hanna of Aiken, SC, Kristy Lapham of Greenfield, and Amy (Bill) McCalley of Moultrie, GA; seven grandchildren, Kari (Rhett) Palmer, Fawn (Jim) Collingwood, Joel (special friend, Hannah) Lapham, Katy (Erik) Larson, Haley (David) Chandler, Shelley (Michael) Inglesby, and Evan (Morgan) Hanna; 13 greatgrandchildren, and a sister, Betty Sanders.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Robert Zumbrun, Jean Tenney and Lois Schrader.

Visitation will be held from 2-4pm, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora.  A graveside service will follow immediately at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
