Armelda Lee, 83, of rural Mulberry, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
She was born November 16, 1931, in Salem, AR., to James Walter Coggin and Eloise Mooney Coggin. In September 1968, she married Major Lee; he passed away in 2007.
Armelda graduated from Caraway High School, and lived most of her life in Jonesboro, AR, before moving to Mulberry. She worked in film transit. She enjoyed making dried flower arrangements.
Surviving are one son, Britt (Penny) Cooper of Rossville; daughters, Karen (Mike) Oliver of El Dorado, AR, and Debbie Dildine of Stelle, MO; sister, Madge Taylor of Caraway, AR; brothers, Don Coggin and Vernon Coggin, both of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Armelda is preceded in death by her parents, and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 12:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor John Fitzgerald officiating.
