Barbara J. Anderson

Barbara J. Anderson, 63, of Colfax, died at her home on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 6:10 p.m.

She was born October 13, 1949, in Insho, Kentucky, the daughter of Edgar and Maxine Woods Prater.

On May 14, 1975, she married Larry D. Anderson; he survives.

Barbara attended Clinton Prairie High School and graduated from high school in Michigan.  She lived in Mulberry from 1977-1989.  Barbara worked as the utility clerk for the town Colfax for ten years and enjoyed reading, puzzles, and quilting.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by two sons, John Reszetar of Ypsilanti, MI, and Brian (wife, Julie) Anderson of Breckenridge, MI; two daughters, Christy Reszetar (husband, Roger) of Largo, FL, and Stephanie (husband, Alex) Raines of Lafayette; two sisters, Mary (husband, Phil) Gullett of Willis, MI, and Alice Shockey of Ypsilanti, MI; four brothers, Andy (wife, Sharon) Prater of Mulberry, Jimmy Prater of Mulberry, Chuck (wife, Ruth) of Mulberry, and Tommy (wife, Judy) Prater of Jeffersonville, KY; seven grandchildren, Tori Reszetar, John Robert Reszetar, Jessie Reszetar, Sara Wright, Noah Anderson, Grace Anderson, and Emily Anderson.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, one sister-in-law, Linda Prater; and two infant siblings.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Genda Funeral Home-Mulberry Chapel.  Funeral service for Barbara will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013, at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor William Prater officiating. Burial will follow in Fair Haven Cemetery in Mulberry.
