Barbara J. Smith

Barbara J. Smith, 75, of Michigantown, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at her home.

She was born November 25, 1940, in Frankfort, to Riley Ernest and Dorothy M. Horn Fisher.  On November 18, 1958, she married Howard C. Smith; he passed away on September 11, 1994.

Barbara attended Frankfort Senior High School.  She was a waitress at Lynch’s Restaurant and a homemaker.

Surviving Barbara are one daughter, Tina (Philip) Montgomery of Michigantown; four grandchildren, Heather (Jesse) Marsh, Jami (Ryan) Yuill, Philip (Jamie) Montgomery, and Chentale (Tony) Myer; 12 great grandchildren; three brothers, Ron Bogan, Don Bogan, and David Fisher; and sisters, Laura Downs and Janet Winchester.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.  Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Meeks officiating.
