Barbara J. Walker

Barbara J. Walker, 83, of 4206 E. Scotland Road, Kirklin, IN died at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital on Monday, December 6, 2010. She was born on May 9, 1927 in Mechanicsburg, IN to parents Cecil & Nettie Pearcy.

Barbara graduated from Scircleville Schools. She was the Co-Owner of G.M. Walker Heating & Air Conditioning and a lifelong area resident. She was amember of the Methodist Church, Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and Home Ec.

She married Giles Walker on July 28,1946 in Hillisburg, IN, and he survives.

Survivors include her husband of Kirklin, one daughter, Barbara K. (husband, Jack) Trenary of Forest, four sons: John Paul (wife, Jane) Walker of Kirklin, Mark R. (wife, Diane) Walker of Frankfort, Ken M. (wife, Karen) Walker of Kirklin & David A. (wife, Melanie) Walker of Kirklin, as well as 13 Grandchildren and 20 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one infant great-grandchild, three brothers: Jim, John & Dick, two sisters: Mary Watkins & Mildred Altic.
