Barbara S. Murphy

Barbara S. Murphy, 69, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Clinton House Health and Rehab Center of Frankfort.

She was born August 9, 1944, in Frankfort; she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Gladys Haynes.  

Barbara worked at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and playing bingo.

Barbara is survived by her children, Kellie (Rodney) Vail and David Murphy, both of Frankfort, and Eric (Veca) Murphy of Smith’s Grove, KY; siblings, Bonnie (Art) Simpson, Paul (Judy) Haynes, and Jim Haynes, all of Frankfort, Sara (Harley) Pullen of Kokomo, Woodie (Diane) Haynes of Omaha, NE; eight grandchildren, and one great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Murphy, two sons, three daughters, one sister, one brother, and nieces and a nephew.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 12:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials may be made to the funeral home to cover expenses.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
