Benson Thomas Hodgen, Frankfort, died at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 7, 2011 at Indiana Veterans Home, Lafayette. He was born on Oct. 26, 1927 in Frankfort to John H. and Edith E. (Graham) Hodgen. He married Vivian Carr on Sept. 15, 1956 and she survives.
Mr. Hodgen worked for Fairground Implement for 23 years and Ponderosa for
5 years. He was a life-long Frankfort resident, living 38 ½ years of it on
South Jackson Street. He graduated Frankfort High School in 1946 and was a Corporal in the U.S. Army and a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving with his wife of Frankfort are two daughters, Cheryl (husband
Bill) Lee and Gail Hodgen, both of Frankfort; two sons, Paul T. Hodgen,
Ludington, Mich. and Brian Hodgen, Frankfort; one brother, Allan (wife
Shirley) Hodgen, Frankfort; one brother-in-law, Albert Bishop, Frankfort;
three grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joann Hudgens and Jane Bishop.
Services will occur at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at Genda Funeral
Home. Pastor Chuck Williams will officiate. Calling will occur from 11 a.m.
until the time of service. Burial will happen in Green Lawn Cemetery.
