Betty A. Haslet Huffer, 95, of Mulberry passed away on Monday, May 08, 2017, at Mulberry Health.
She was born on February 13, 1922, in Geetingsville, to Benton A. and Bessie E. Peters Haslet. On January 6, 1940, she married Leslie M. Huffer; he preceded her in death on July 21, 2008.
In 1939, Betty graduated from Rossville High School. After 25 years, she retired from Mulberry Telephone. Betty was a member of Mulberry United Methodist Church and enjoyed flower gardening, fishing, playing cards, and traveling to Las Vegas. Bettyâs greatest joy was time spent with her family.
Surviving Betty are her children, Ben Huffer, of Rossville, and Diana (Jim) Schutz and Jennifer Leibenguth, both of Mulberry; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Betty is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, four brothers, and two granddaughters, Alicia Leibenguth and Michelle Huffer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel from 11:00 am to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Harley Helm officiating.
