Betty J. Higinbotham

Betty Jean Higinbotham, 71, a life-long resident of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Mulberry Health.

She was born February 12, 1945, in Frankfort, to M. Ferrell Higinbotham Sr. and Vella Michner Higinbotham; her parents preceded her in death.

Betty attended Frankfort Schools and worked as a caregiver for adults.  She was a former member of Pilgrim Holiness Church on Rowe St.  Betty enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her sister, Ruby (Don) Kressley of Frankfort; brother, M. Ferrell (LouVerne) Higinbotham Jr. of Montvale, VA; 11 nieces and nephews, and several great and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Gregg Davis will officiate.  Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
