Betty Jean Fetterhoff, 91, a life-long Rossville area resident, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.
She was born July 30, 1925, in Clinton County, to Jessie C. and Bessie L. Viney Koble. On March 12, 1942, she married Bill Gene Fetterhoff; he preceded her in death on May 31, 1995.
Betty graduated from Cutler High School in 1942. She worked as a cook for Sayco Manufacturing in Flora for 20 years. During her retirement, she was assistant activities director at Milner Community Healthcare in Rossville. Betty was a member of Pyrmont Church of the Brethren and Rossville Volunteer Ambulance Service. She loved bird watching, flowers, and her grandchildren.
Surviving Betty are her son, Tom G. (Marla) Fetterhoff, of Milton, KY; daughter, Linda (Max) Fogelsong, of Rossville; four grandchildren, Tammy (Jon) Templin, Jody (John) Bassett, Amber (Nick) Whiteman, and Tristan Fetterhoff (Laura Price); nine great-grandchildren, James, Emily, Sarah, Braxton, Bradon, Katie, Savannah, Dominick, and Maddox; and companion, Bob Robertson.
In addition to her husband, Betty is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Dale Koble; three sisters, Esther Bullock, Thelma Bryan, and Edna Patrick; and one great grandchild.
Visitation for Betty will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 4:00 â 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Guy Studebaker officiating. Burial will follow in Rossville Cemetery. Memorials in Bettyâs name may be made to the American Lung Association and Rossville Volunteer Ambulance Service.
