Beulah McFarland Kerkhoff, 94, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, at Wesley Manor.
She was born January 23, 1921, in Lafayette to John Albert Clayton and Susie Rodman McFarland. On November 14, 1942, she married Gordon F. Kerkhoff at Ft. Sill, OK; he preceded her in death on October 6, 2000.
Beulah was a graduate of Otterbein High School and later attended business college. She retired in 1984 as the post master at Frankton Post Office. She was a member of St. Maryâs Catholic Church in Frankfort, member and past officer of Indiana county homemakers groups, member and past president of her local postmaster association, and past member of the Clinton County Campers. She, along with her family, traveled extensively.
Beulah is survived by three sons, Dr. Randall M. (Kathie) Kerkhoff of Indianapolis, Wayne (Nancy) Kerkhoff of Ft. Mill, SC; Keith Kerkhoff of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Joyce M. Kerkhoff of Miami, FL; nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
In addition to her husband, Beulah is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles McFarland.
Visitation for Beulah will be held at Amanda Reid Memorial Chapel at Wesley Manor in Frankfort, on Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. with rosary service at 3:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Maryâs Catholic Church in Frankfort, on Friday, July 24, 2015. Fr. Chris Miller will preside. Entombment will be follow in Green Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum in Frankfort.
