Beulah L. Hurst, 90, formerly of Lafayette, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, at The Waters of Yorktown in Yorktown.
Born March 6, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Worley B. and Emma A. (Bell) Thomas. She graduated from Rossville High School in 1939.
She married Robert V. Kemmer on June 1, 1940. He died Dec. 30, 1968. She then married Noble W. Hurst Dec. 23, 1970. He died July 7, 1987.
Mrs. Hurst was a homemaker who had lived in the Rossville area, Wabash, Knightstown, and Lafayette twice, the last time from 1999-2009. She was a member of the Helen Bonebrake chapter of the O.E.S. in Rossville.
Survivors include one son, Kevin Kemmer of Anderson, and one stepson, Darryl W. Hurst of Bloomington.
Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Dave Robert Kemmer of Daleville, Melody Holton (husband: Chris) of Chesterfield, and Erin Werner of Bloomington; 4 great-grandchildren, Dave Kemmer Jr., Devon Hopkins, and Emily and Olivia Werner; 2 nephews, Tommy and Richard, and 2 nieces, Barb and Susan, and Better Kemmer, Dave's mother who helped care for her.
Graves side services are at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ball Hill Cemetery in Cutler, with Rev. Rick Jones officiating. The family request no flowers be sent.
