Beverly J. Carter, 83, of Frankfort and formerly of Michigantown, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at Wesley Manor Retirement Community in Frankfort.

She was born September 8, 1929, in Burnettsville, the daughter of A. Dale and Evelyn Power Cue.  She was formerly married to Ferris Morris.  Beverly later married Byrl Carter in 1970; he preceded her in death in 1994.

Beverly graduated from Michigantown High School in 1947.  She lived in Hillisburg for 25 years before relocating back to the Michigantown area.  She attended Mt. Hope Chapel in Michigantown.  Beverly worked as a bookkeeper at J.A. Carter Hardware for 20 years; she later worked for Davis Fence Company, Mack Machine, and Sears & Roebuck Co.

Surviving Beverly are two sons, Michael L. Morris of Frankfort and Patrick “Pat” J. Morris of Michigantown; four grandchildren, Mitzi (Jeff) Cruzen of Missouri, Heather (companion Greg Taylor) Morris Roberts of Indianapolis, Chad (Amanda Moore) Morris of Frankfort, and Nick Morris; eight great grandchildren, Paige Layne, Linzya Cruzen, Carter Cruzen, Andrea Roberts, Donnie Roberts, Gwen Morris, Corrine Morris, and Brenna Morris; and one  great great granddaughter Abigail.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort. Memorials maybe made to Clinton County Humane Society.
