Beverly Lowe

Beverly J. Lowe, 72, Frankfort, died at 8:10 a.m. May 23, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Lowe was born Sept. 11, 1938 in Chicago to Henry George and Nancy Agnes (Bortz) Hickman. She married Fredrick L. Lowe on Nov. 21, 1960 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 2000.

She was a school cafeteria cook at Clinton Central schools for 22 years. She attended Martinsville, Ill. schools, graduating in 1956. She also loved kids, there were always kids at her house and she loved to garden, as well.

Surviving is one son, Jeff Lowe, Lombard, Ill.; one grandson, Jeremy Lowe, Lombard, Ill.; one niece, Lana Branson, Niles, Ill.; and two great-nephews, Tristan Shaw, who lived with Beverly, and Larry Buschow, Belvidere, Ill.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Carol, Beatrice and Barbara.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2011 at Genda Funeral Home. Burial will occur in Scircleville Cemetery. Calling will occur from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Association.
