Bobbie Joe Lester

Bobbie Joe Lester, 75, of Gallatin, TN, and formerly of Frankfort, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014, at his home.

He was born January 26, 1939, in Appalachia, VA, to Arville and Juanita Trent Lester.  Bobbie married Carol Trent Lester; she preceded him in death.

Bobbie served in the United States Air Force from January 26, 1956 to January 26, 1958.  Bobbie owned and operated the Omelet House in Frankfort for many years.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge.

Surviving Bobbie are his sons, Nick (Valerie) Lester of Gallatin, TN, Marty (Mary) Lester of Frankfort, and Randy Lester (Miriam Salazar Hilsher-Jenkins) of Texas; one brother, Ron (Darlene) Lester of Kokomo; 12 grandchildren, Nicky Lester, Anthony “Tony” (Calli) Guerrero, Rachel (Gabe) Ellis, Dakota Lester, Mika Lester, Cheyenne Lester, Blake Ginger, Rece Ginger, Marissa Lester, Michael Lester, Maranda Lester, and Mason Lester; and 12 great grandchildren.  

In addition to his wife, Bobbie is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Penny Lester; one brother, Perry Lester; and one sister, Dorothy Kerchval.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials in Bobbie’s name may be made to Moose Heart.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
