Bonnie C. Brown, 87, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at IU Health Hospital in Lafayette.
She was born November 7, 1929, in Carroll County, to Cleo and Gertrude Grinstead Catron. Bonnie was formerly married to James Brown.
In 1947, Bonnie graduated from Forest High School and from Indiana Business College in 1948. After 33 years, Bonnie retired from the former Swift and Co. and A.E. Staley, now ADM. She had also worked at Clinton County Bank and Trust, Stark & Wetzel, and Lungren Builders. Bonnie was a former member of Oakland Christian Church and enjoyed reading and traveling. She was active with Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army.
Bonnie had a large extended family and was raised by her uncle and aunt, Jesse and Grace Catron, along with their five children. Surviving Bonnie are her daughter, Jami Bell, of Frankfort; grandchildren, Ryan & Jennifer Bell, and Alyssa Bell; great-grandchildren, Kyler and Quinn Bell; brother, Charles (Rosalie) Catron, of Kokomo, âbrother,â Max Catron, of Clinton County; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Catron and Mary Ellen Catron.
The only daughter of Cleo and Gertrude, she is preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Les, Dee, Dale, Glay, and Gayle Catron.
