Bonnie Merritt

Bonita Renee “Bonnie” Merritt, 46, of Frankfort passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Wesley Manor.  She was born July 7, 1970 in Frankfort to Dennis Merritt and Peggy (Pippenger) Grant.

A 1988 graduate of Frankfort High School, Bonnie worked at the Sugar Shack and bowling alley in Frankfort and most recently at Schulz IGA for 18 years at the meat counter.  She enjoyed puzzles and cooking and loved to wash dishes.

She is survived by her son, David Allen Merritt; mother and step-father, Peggy and David Grant of Frankfort and a brother, Scott (Kristlyn) Merritt, all of Frankfort.  She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Philip A. Merritt.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Bonnie may be made to Guardian Angel Hospice.
