Brayden Drake Darnell

Brayden Drake Darnell, 22, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017, in Lafayette.

He was born May 1, 1994, in Lafayette, to Robert K. Darnell and Melissa Ann Ferguson.  

Brayden attended Frankfort Senior High School and later achieved his GED.  He worked at Indiana Packers and had recently started work at SIA where he moved cars and tested radios.  Brayden loved music with eclectic tastes and enjoyed basketball, playing anywhere.  He had the biggest heart, never knowing a stranger.  Brayden was a friend from the moment he met someone, always offering what he had to help others.

Surviving are his father, Rob & Jenny Darnell, of Frankfort; mother, Melissa & Eric Latus, of Lafayette; paternal grandmother, Lula & Steven Wright; maternal step- grandparents, Jeffrey & Mary Latus; paternal step-grandpa, Larry Norwick; paternal step-great-grandma, Evelyn Rayburn; sister, Brittany Darnell; brothers, Brandon Darnell, Chris Darnell, Jeffrey Latus, Devon Eldridge, and Sean Eldridge; four nephews, and four nieces.

Brayden is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John & Diana Ferguson; brother, Kyle Latus; and uncle, Chad Wright.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Scotland Cemetery.  Memorials in Brayden’s name may be made to The Way Out.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
