Bryan Ray Brooks, 46, Frankfort, died at home Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011.
He was born May 17, 1965 in Lafayette, the son of Troy Vernon and Shirley E. (Karlstrand) Brooks. He married April Phillips July 6, 1985 in Frankfort, and she survives.
He graduated from McCutcheon High in 1983, was a veteran member of the U.S. Navy from 1984-88 stationed in Hawaii. Brooks was a truck driver, worked for US Xpress and was a Frankfort resident for 20 years. He loved riding bikes, especially Harleys.
He is survived by his wife of Frankfort; mother of Okeechobee, Fla.; one daughter, Chelsea Brooks, Frankfort; two sons, Jake Brooks, Frankfort, and Troy Brooks, Kokomo; one sister, Suzanne (husband Roger) Edwards, Brandon, Fla.; and father-in-law, Mel (wife Frieda) Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his father as well as his brother, Jeff Brooks.
Services will be 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011 at Genda Funeral Home. Calling hours will be 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
