Carla Renee Green

Carla Renee Green, 46, of rural Frankfort, passed away at her home on Saturday, August 17, 2013.

She was born May 16, 1967, in Tecumseh, Michigan, the daughter of Harley Sr. and Carolyn Cavins Mills.  On December 2, 1990, she married Troy Dean Green; he survives.

Carla graduated from Rossville High School in 1985 and attended Indiana Business College.  Throughout her life, Carla lived in Rossville, Lafayette, and Frankfort.  At Meijer in Lafayette, Carla worked in the systems department for three years.  She was a member of The Third Testament Word in Frankfort.  Carla enjoyed quilting and sewing.

In addition to her husband and father, Carla is survived by her maternal grandmother, Anne Treece of Lafayette; two sons, Jonathan Adam Green and Aaron Green, both of Frankfort; three sisters, Denice Longenberger of Frankfort, and Sarah (Joe) Hood and Keri Mills, both of Lafayette; and seven brothers, Jeff (Beth) Mills Sr. of Lafayette, Harley (Christine) Mills Jr. of Lafayette, Chris (Darlene) Mills of Frankfort, Gene Mills of Lafayette, Mark (Sabine) Mills Sr. of Delphi, Michael Mills of Lafayette, and David Mills of Lafayette.

She is preceded in death by her mother and one infant son, Jesse Dean Green.

Visitation for Carla will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Hall and Pastor Donald Parnell officiating.  Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials in Carla’s name may be made to her sons.  On-line condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
