Carol Jeanine Scott, 78, passed away unexpectedly on October 8th, 2016 in Mishawaka, Indiana. Carol was born in Lebanon, Indiana on April 29, 1938 to Helen (Dilworth) Couden and Carl Couden. She is survived by her four children, Kevin Kraner of New Haven, IN, Andy (Kathi) Kraner of Mishawaka, IN, Kathy (Ron) Pavlik of Chesterton, IN, and Tony Kraner of South Bend, IN. She has two surviving sisters; Connie (Don) Hinesley of Rossville, Indiana and Nancy (Don) Hufford of Lafayette, Indiana. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one niece, Lisa Lewis, and one grandchild, Justin Kraner.
Carol was born and raised in Frankfort Indiana, and graduated with the Frankfort High School Class of 1956. She attended her 60th class reunion in August 2016. She was employed for many years at Doc Pierceâs and the Frances Shop while living in the Michiana area. Carol was also employed at: The Wesley Manor Retirement Community Center, The Clinton County Auditorâs Office, and at other retail positions in Frankfort. She volunteered with the Frankfort Historical Preservation Foundation.
Carol moved to Mishawaka in 2013 to be closer to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Main Jr. High Apartments, and at Woodridge Assisted Living Center. She loved interior decorating, yoga, shopping and antiquing. Carol very much enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching the grandchildren and great grandchildren and attended many of their sporting activities. The Family thanks Woodridge Assisted Living Center for the wonderful activities, care, services, and friendship to Carol and her family.
