Carol Jo Viney, 83, a life-long resident of Frankfort, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016, at Zionsville Meadows.
She was born October 19, 1933, in Frankfort, to Ralph âPussâ and Melva J. Wills Covely. On December 23, 1955, she married Harold âBusterâ Viney; he preceded her in death on September 15, 2002.
Carol graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1951. She had worked at Clinton County Bank for six years before working in home health care for over 20 years. She was a former member of First Christian Church and Ladies Home Extension, Girl Scout and Brownie leader for six years, and 4-H Leader for 17 years. Growing up, Carol enjoyed spending time with her father floating and fishing on the Tippecanoe River and attending the Indianapolis 500 yearly. She was an avid Colts fan and Frankfort Basketball supporter and enjoyed garage sales and auctions. Carol actively supported her daughters in their theatre endeavors and cherished her great grandchildren.
Surviving Carol are her daughters, Stacey (John) Martin and Lea Viney, both of Frankfort; and three great grandchildren, Andrew, Ryleigh, and Mason.
In addition to her husband, Carol is preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Kyle Martin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 p.m. to the start of the celebration of life service at 7:00 p.m. Private burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.
