Carolyn S. (Davis) Ferguson

Carolyn S. Ferguson, 85, of Frankfort, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. Carolyn was born on October 27, 1938, in Evansville to Clarence and Marguerite (Halbrooks) Davis. On June 22, 1957, she married Robert Ferguson. He preceded her in passing on June 19, 2020.

Carolyn attended Reitz High School in Evansville and graduated from Frankfort Pilgrim Holiness High School & College in 1956. She was the owner of Catering by Carolyn for 40 years where she specialized in wedding cakes and was a teacher at Frankfort Christian Heritage School. She was a member of New Life in Christ Church, was a Girl Scout leader for 20 years, served as the President of PTA and was a member of the PTA council for many years. Along with baking and eating cake, Carolyn enjoyed gardening and painting.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Kimberly (Rick) Cordray, Yvonne (James) Edwards, Alana Ferguson, Robert Ferguson and Brandon Ferguson; grandchildren, Derrick and Jacob Cordray, Evan and Natasha Price, Ashlyn Smith, Zechariah Stratton, and Tristan Ferguson; and great-grandchildren, Evan Price, Anaiya Cordray, Ezra and Everett Smith; half-brother, Clarence Davis, Jr.; half-sisters, JoAnn Senff, Tina Travis, Cathy Robbins, and Linda (Allen) Young.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; half-sisters, Opal Reynolds- Putnam and Veda Mae Reynolds; and stepsisters, Patsy Beach and Millie Francis.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 11, 2024, from 1pm until the time of the service at 3pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery.
