Carolyn ""Sue"" McCune

Carolyn “Sue” McCune, 84, of Frankfort passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at her home following an extended illness.  She was born April 4, 1933 in Frankfort to Reldo and Effie (Singleton) McKinzie.

Sue graduated from Frankfort High School in 1952 and was employed by PR Mallory for over 35 years.

On July 10, 1954, Sue married Walter B. McCune, with whom she celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary before he preceded her in death on January 29, 2002. She was also preceded by one grandchild; one great-grandchildren; three sisters and nine brothers.

Surviving family includes two sons, Greg (Anne) McCune of Frankfort and Jeff (Susie) McCune of North Carolina; two daughters, Lore (Tim) Ashlock and Cheryl Bartley, all of Frankfort; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister Bonnie (Eddie) Eddingfield of Ohio and brother Richard (Kathy) McKinzie of Frankfort.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017  at Genda Funeral Home, Frankfort.  Visitation will be from 2-5:00p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund at Christain Life Church.  www.gendafuneralhome.com
