Carrie Lee Fultz, 84, of Mulberry, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at her home.
She was born September 29, 1931, in Tazewell, TN, to the late James and Nettie Young Whitaker. On October 11, 1948, she married Marshall Fultz in Pineville, KY; he passed away on October 1, 1984.
Carrie attended Claiborne High School. She had lived in Mulberry for the 58 years. For 13 years, Carrie worked at National Homes and then at Purdue for 12 years. Carrie retired in February of 2003 as a fitting room clerk from Kohlâs. She had attended the Wea Ridge Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children, Jerry (Mary Lou) Fultz of Lafayette, William (Mary L.) Fultz of rural Frankfort, Kenneth (Alene) Fultz of Mulberry, Eddie Fultz of rural Mulberry; half-brother, Eugene (Donna) Carroll of Jonesville, VA; 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Carrie is preceded in death by a daughter Thelma Whitlock and son-in-law Richard Whitlock; 2 half-sisters, Loretta Carroll, and Barbara Hall; and Eddieâs longtime companion Montie.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 20th from 11:00 â 1:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Andrea Helm officiating.
