Catherine Flora

Catherine Flora, 98, died at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Milner Community Health Care in Mulberry. She formerly lived in Cutler. Born May 30, 1912, in Hamilton County, she attended Rossville schools. Mrs. Flora was a homemaker and a member of Middlefork Old Germany Baptist Brethren Church.

She was the daughter of the late Ira D. and Mary Ann Skiles Mohler. She married Herman D. Flora on Dec. 24, 1933. They lived in their farm home for 68 years, and he preceded her in death April 26, 1994.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Brovont of Rossville and two sons, Gerald L. Flora (wife: Loretta) of Rossville and David E. Flora (wife: Millie) of Cutler.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 3 brothers, Clarence, Harry & Jake Mohler & son-in-law, James Brovont.

Visitation is 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Bodine Funeral Home,  Rossville. Service 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Middlefork Old German Baptist Brethren Church with Home Brethren officiating. Interment Middlefork Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery.
