Cecil âPeteâ Seabolt, 76, a lifelong resident of Frankfort, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014, at his home.
He was born June 25, 1938, in Frankfort, the son of Stewart J. and Omie Lloyd Seabolt. On August 7, 1960, he married Karen L. Miller; she survives.
Pete attended Frankfort Schools. He was a 30 year veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, serving in the combat infantry and later as Artillery Gun Chief. Pete retired from Federal Mogul in 2008. He was a member of the American Legion Post 12, Woodside Christian Church, and U.A.W.
In addition to his wife, Pete is survived by one son, Charles K. (Jan) Seabolt of Grand Rapids, MN; one daughter, Jennie Shamp of Frankfort; three grandchildren, Hunter K., Steven Cody, and Ashley C.; three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pete is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mabel Allen; and one brother, Samuel J. Seabolt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. Funeral service for Pete will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery will graveside military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Peteâs name may be made to Clinton County Cancer.
