Charles G. Hale, 70, Frankfort, died at 9:38 a.m. May 11, 2011, in his home.

Mr. Hale was born on Feb. 22, 1941 in Frankfort to the late Elmer N. and Roberta F. (Tuttle) Hale. He married Catherine A. Wells in 1968 and they later divorced.

He worked for Indiana Bell /Southwestern Bell for 27 years before retiring in 1991. Charles then worked odd jobs until 1996.

He attends the Antioch Christian Church and Charles is a member of Masonic Lodge No. 54 and Moose Lodge No. 7. He graduated in 1959 from Hyannis High School in Hyannis, Nebraska. Charles raised miniature horses with Bob Butz.

Surviving is Catherine, who cared for Charles during the last weeks of his life; a son, Martin (Wife Angela) Hale of Frankfort; a daughter, Tiffani (Husband Chad) Brown of Greenwood; a brother, Benjamin Hale of Nebraska; and four grandchildren, Addison and Carson Hale, and Rachel and Hannah Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Thomas, Elmer and Donald.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011, at Genda Funeral Home. Pastor David Klipp will officiate the services. Burial will occur in Bunnell Cemetery. Calling will occur from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Clinton County Cancer.
