Charles Robert Tribbett

Charles Robert Tribbett, 83, of 5402 W. County Road 575 South, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, Fla.

Born Aug. 5, 1927, in Huntington County, he was the son of the late William J. and Mary Ima (Steigers) Tribbett. He attended schools in Huntington County.

He married Joyce Ann Royer on Jan. 31, 1948, in Star City. She did April 20, 1996.
Mr. Tribbett was a labor worker and a member of local union 274, in Lafayette, since 1952.

He was a member of Rossville United Methodist Church and a former member of Eagles and Moose Lodges.

Surviving are two sons, Jerry Lee Tribbett of Logansport and Robert James Tribbett (wife: Debbie) of Venice, Fla.; three daughters, Nancy Surber (husband: Glen) of Frankfort, Linda Kay Kelley (husband Kenneth) of West Lafayette and Rita Jo Harris of Monon; and two brothers, James Tribbett of Logansport and Elmer Tribbett of Georgia, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, William J. ""Billy"" Tribbett, one daughter, Susan Alice Tribbett, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30am on Saturday February 26, 2011 at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville, Rev. Rick Jones officiating. The family will recieve friends for visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will take place at Rossville Cemetery.  In Leiu of Flowers the family has asked for memorials to go to the Good Shepherd Hospice House, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.
