Cheryl Ann (Kelly) Wilson

Cheryl Ann Wilson, 62, Rossville, passed away at her residence on Friday, June 17, 2022.  She was born in Lafayette on December 3, 1959 to Larry and Shelby (Smith) Kelly.  On September 4, 1982 she married Bryan Wilson, who she is now reunited, as he preceded her in death on March 19, 2014.

Cheryl was a 1978 graduate of Rossville High School.  She had worked several jobs through her years, including IU Arnett Hospital and Flour Mill Bakery, where she was known by the customers for her over the top, joyful personality.  She enjoyed riding the Harley with her husband, floating down the river, writing poems, listening to music and traveling to the beach.    But above all she loved being a mother, and a grandmother.  Her top priority was taking care of her kids, being a part of their events and activities, and showing them a motherly love.  She continued that as a grandmother, attending her grandkid’s activities and spoiling them.

Cheryl is survived by her mother; children, Stacie (Chris) Faulk, Michael (Latisha) Walker, Jennifer (Skip) Sloan, Stephanie (Tony) Darlin, and Bryan (Ashley) Wilson II; siblings, Rick (Mary) Kelly and Angela Kelly; and twelve grandchildren.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be held, Monday, June 20, 2022 from 4-7pm at Genda Funeral Home ~ Rossville Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 10am, Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.gendafuneralhome.com.
