Clarence Herbert Pippenger Jr., 85, of Frankfort passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016, at Wesley Manor in Frankfort. He was born November 30, 1930, in Frankfort, to Clarence H. and Gladys E. (Vermillion) Pippenger. In December of 1972, Clarence married Wilma Brown; she survives.
Junior worked for Boss Back Rendering Company and Factories, for Carrs Cabinet, and then retired from National Cigar Factory in 1996. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
In addition to his wife Wilma, Junior is survived by his children, Mary (Junior) Ashlock and Evelyn (Gilbert) Suite, both of Frankfort; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and step-daughter, Debra Hatfield (companion Jerry Grizzle).
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Smith.
A memorial service for Junior will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. An inurnment will be held at a later date in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.
