Claudia A. Slipher, 64, of Frankfort, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born August 2, 1952, in Frankfort, to Robert Nelson and Ruth Alice Diederichs Slipher.
Claudia graduated salutatorian from Frankfort High School in 1970, and later received her bachelor of accounting from Ball State University. She worked in finance as a mortgage banker. Claudia started her career with National Homes of Lafayette and ended her work career in Safety Harbor, Florida. She was a Red Cross volunteer and received Volunteer of the Year award from Frankfort Community Library in 2016. Claudia travelled extensively. She was strong in her faith and convictions with a hidden humor that was at times overlooked. Claudia was a continuous learner, intelligent and loving especially with her niece and nephews.
Surviving are her sister, Shannon (John) Taylor, of Frankfort; brothers, Nelson (Patty) Slipher, of Indianapolis, and Clark (Diane) Slipher, of Milwaukee, WI; niece, Sally Slipher, nephews, Travis (Carmen) Slipher, Cole (Megan) Slipher, Derek Slipher, Stewart (Brittney) Slipher, and Alex Taylor; and one great-nephew, Daniel Slipher.
No public services will be held at this time. Per Claudiaâs wishes, a family gathering will be held at a later date. Memorials in honor of Claudia may be made to Clinton County Humane Society.
