Clay A. Sigler Jr., 87, of Lafayette and formerly of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013, at his home.
He was born January 6, 1926, in Frankfort, the son of Clay A. Sr. and Vera Parse Sigler.
On October 18, 1946, he married the former Marcella J. Hoover; she survives.
Clay worked at Lafayette Co-op as a mechanic for 15 years before his retirement in 1980. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles Aerie 976.
In addition to his wife, Clay is survived by three sons, John R. (Ruth) Sigler of Texas, James L. (Diana) Sigler of Clarks Hill, and Jeffrey C. (Lory) Sigler of Mulberry; two daughters, Sandra S. (Dana) Stichter of Wisconsin, and Deborah J. (Gary) Sickels of Stockwell; two sisters, Evelyn Miller of Florida, and Phyllis Hubbard of Greentown; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Clay is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John Sigler and Daniel Sigler; four sisters, Betty Reinhardt, Gertie Unger, Rosemary Sigler, and Martha Phillips; and one granddaughter, Julie Ann Sickles.
