Clifford O. Pearson

Clifford O. Pearson, 79, of Flora, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

He was born August 14, 1933, in Ockley, the son of Harley J. and Mary E. Kauffman Pearson.

Clifford helped his parents on the farm and later in life helped at the Flora Senior Center.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Flora and the Action Club in Monticello.  Clifford always had a smile on his face; he had a keen memory especially for birthdays often making phone calls with well wishes.  He also made it a point to meet at the Corner Café at 2 in the afternoon for fellowship.  Clifford also enjoyed bingo.

Surviving Clifford are one sister, Bernadean (Robert) Kinzer of Flora; two brothers, Leroy (Ruth Ann) Pearson of Delphi and Sanford (Juliann) Pearson of Clarkville, Tenn.; a true friend, Gerald Clingenpeel; and many nieces and nephews.

Clifford is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Harold.

Visitation for Clifford will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2013, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013, at the funeral home with John Wright officiating.

Memorials in Clifford’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
