Clifford Ray Martin, Jr.

Clifford “Ray” Martin Jr., 61, of Flora, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.

He was born November 11, 1952, in Kokomo, to Clifford Ray Martin Sr. and Carol Anderson Martin.  His father preceded him in death.  Ray married Virginia Keller; she survives.

Ray worked for Lawson Products in Flora.  He was a member of New Hope Community Church and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, attending flea markets and festivals, and collecting model cars.

In addition to his wife and mother, Ray is survived by his children, Amy (Larry) Ostler, Jodi (Michael) Wood, Clifford Ray “Snapper” (Miriah) Martin III, Star (Brian) Williams, Nicole (Phillip) Knott, Karen (Eddy) Rossi, and Dean Asbury; siblings, Rita (Roger) White, Missy (Red) Redding, Debby (Nick) Pappas, Becky Miller, Robin (Rick) Hanley, Kim Bagby, and Jeff (Brenda) Martin; 13 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ray will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at New Hope Community Church in Flora, from 9:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Scott Gamel will officiate.  Burial will follow in Zion Citizens Cemetery in Bringhurst.  Memorials may be made to the help the family defray costs.  Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
