Connie Louise Jervis, 68, Cutler, was called home at 10 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011.She was born Feb. 18, 1943 in Kokomo, the daughter of Harold
Edwin and Doris Mae (Jackson) Washington.
She married Marvin Allen Jervis on Sept. 1, 1961, and he survives.
She was an aide for 20 years for St. Elizabeth Home Health Care,
retiring in 2005.
She was a member of Radnor United Methodist Church and an
honorary member of the Rossville FFA. She had been a mother
advisor for Rainbow Girls and a member of Flora O.E.S. and Cutler
Extension Homemakers. She was involved with the âMiracles
Happenâ organization, Stephen Ministries and mission work through
her church. She was a world class pie baker and cook, with a heart big enough
to love everybody.
Survivors include a daughter, Devona Gangwer, Lafayette; two sons,
Randy Jervis (companion Peggy Baker), Frankfort, and Clint Jervis,
Lafayette; three sisters, Phyllis Wilson, Cutler, Wanda Carter, Cutler,
and Jo Ann Davis, Monticello; three grandchildren, Lloyd ( Mandi)
Gangwer, Monica Gangwer (fiancé Gary Camp) and Ashley
(Ricardo) Gamboa; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and
Morgan. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Sabastian.
Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville,
with Rev. Ed. Selvidge officiating. Burial will be at Ball Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
