Connie S Young

Connie S. (Thompson) Young, 64, of Michigantown, died Friday, November 9, 2012, at her home.

She was born August 12, 1948, in Lincoln, IL, the daughter of Hudson L and Shirley “Billie” (Redding) Thompson; her mother survives in Peoria, IL.

Connie graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1966.  She worked for the Clinton Superior Court and Prosecutor’s Office until April 2012.  She married David Young on July 1, 1983; he survives in Michigantown.  Connie was a member of Tri Kappa and St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Frankfort; she was an avid motorcyclist.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three sons, Chad Douglas of Louisville, KY, Chip (Cindy) Douglas of rural Frankfort, and Craig (Amanda) Douglas of Indianapolis; two sisters, Karyn Lee (Tony) Lasco of Indianapolis, and Leslie Harland of Peoria, IL; one step son, Todd Young of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Reid and Cali; niece and nephews, Nick, Missy, Andy and Nate; four great nephews, and three great nieces.

She is preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort from 3-7 p.m.  Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ruth Lawson officiating.  Inurnment will be Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 1 p.m. CST in Zion Cemetery in Lincoln, IL.

Memorials in Connie’s name may be made to Cancer Research or Clinton County Cancer.
