Connie Sue Wagoner Meador, 60, of Cutler, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family into eternity to be with her Lord forever at 6:15 p.m. on May 5, 2016, ending years of battling MS and most recently cancer. She was born Feb. 24, 1956, in Lafayette, to Kenneth Edward and Doris Joann Wolf Wagoner of Flora.
Connie graduated from Carroll High School in 1974, worked at The Brethren Home from 1972-1974, and then Peters-Revington and Smith Douglas Fertilizer. On September 1, 1974, Connie married Roger Lee Meador who survives. Soon after marriage on September 26, 1974, Connie gave her life to The Lord and joined the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. In 1996, Connie was diagnosed with Chronic Progressive MS, and her ability to continue life as she knew it slowly slipped away. In June 2015, she was diagnosed with cancer, and her loving husband continued to faithfully care for her through years of MS and months of cancer. Through the years of declining ability, Connie enjoyed reading and writing poetry, loving and praying for her family and friends, and making special cards for all the help they received.
Surviving along with her caregiver husband, Roger, are their three sons, Nolan (Barbara) of Delphi, Kendal (Emilie) of Delphi, and Arlyn (Lanita) of Frankfort; parents, Kenneth and Doris Wagoner of Flora; sister, Donna (Allen) Markley of Baldwin City, KS; brother, David (Susan) Wagoner of Cutler; sixteen grandchildren, Logan, Ashlee, Katie, Joel, Joshua, Brendan, Sierra, Jesaiah, Evie, Graydon, Elijah, Issac, Myah, Ezekiel, Ephraim, and Jeremiah Meador; father-in-law, Duane Meador; three brothers-in-law, Stuart (Marilyn) Meador, Craig (Vickie) Meador, and Dennis Meador; and aunts, uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.
