Cynthia Gail Panke, 58, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at her home.
She was born January 26, 1957, in Racine, WI, to Alfred A. and Mary âBettyâ Boland Panke; her parents survive in Monticello.
Cynthia was a 1975 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School; she then attended both Purdue University and Indiana State. She worked at Arthur-Andersen Accountants in Washington D.C. then continued her career as a painter in the D.C. area before returning to Frankfort. Cynthia was of the Catholic faith; she loved her books and her two cats, Sofie and Brutus.
In addition to her parents, Cynthia is survived by one sister, Karen (Gregory) Wysong of Monticello; one brother, Dennis (Mary) Panke of Arlington, VA; nieces, Elizabeth (John) Berg, Kristin (Chris) Mein, Lauren Panke, and Katherine Panke; and special friends, Carolyn and Roger Boyce.
A rosary service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, at 9:30 a.m. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home to the start of the memorial mass at 11:00 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Chris Miller, at St. Maryâs Catholic Church in Frankfort. A private inurnment will be held at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.
