Dan E. Gochenour, 85, of Rossville, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
He was born on April 18, 1929, in Tippecanoe County, to the late Fred and Glee Smith Gochenour.
Dan graduated from Rossville High School in 1947. He was a welder, fabricator, and mechanic by trade. Throughout his life, he helped out on the family farm whenever he could. Dan enjoyed motorcycles and working on old farm tractors.
Dan leaves behind one son, Mike (Ann) Gochenour of Rossville; four daughters, Sandy (Roger) Cornell, Karen (Robert) Evans, and Diana Bohan, all of Lafayette, and Kimberly (Rod) Siebert of Iowa City, IA; one brother, Wayne Gochenour of Mulberry; five sisters, Betty Gochenour of Bringhurst, Marjorie Cornwell of Woodland Hills, CA, Mary Lowery of Cutler, Nancy (Ken) Disinger of Rossville, Patty Bright of Mulberry; six grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Marian F. and Mary Jane; two brothers, Mack and Jack; one sister, Audrey; one daughter, Kathy Jo; and one granddaughter, Trisha Leann.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Brian White will officiate.
