Darlene Greeno, 73, of Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.
She was born October 22, 1942, in Lacrosse, WI, to Chester N. Peterson and Mildred Margaret Beier Peterson Paulson. Darlene was formerly married to Ira Greeno.
Darlene attended Lawrence High School. She worked at Wesley Manor for 28 years before her retirement. She was a former member of the First Church of Nazarene and member of the Eagles and VFW Auxiliaries. Darlene loved to play bingo.
Surviving Darlene are her two children, Michael (Dana) Greeno of Kokomo, and Debbie (Jay) Gorman of Frankfort; one brother, Reinhold (Leanne) Peterson; one sister, Carol (Robert) Barnes; three grandchildren, Joshua (Christina) Gorman, Jeffery (Kassondra) Gorman, and Krissalyn Greeno; and four great grandchildren, Carly, Chloe, Mariska, and Xander Gorman.
In addition to her mother and father, Darlene is preceded in death by her step-father who raised her, Alvin Paulson; brothers, Marvin Peterson, Norman Peterson, and Eugene Peterson; and two sisters, Marlene Burke and Betty Lou Peterson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Buntin Cemetery in Mechanicsburg. Online condolences maybe directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
