Darrell G. Donoho, 65, a lifelong resident of Frankfort, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at his home.
He was born October 7, 1948, in Frankfort, the son of Medford G. and Gladys Perry Donoho; his mother survives. On February 24, 1975, he married the former Marsha Story; she survives.
Darrell graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1966. He served in the United States Navy from March 14, 1969 to January 26, 1973. Darrell worked as an inspector and machine repairman at Chrysler Transmission for 38 years before his retirement in 2007. He was a Golden Eagle of Eagle Lodge 976 and member of UAW 685. Darrell enjoyed spending time at Lake Freeman, boating, skiing, and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife and mother, Darrell is survived by his daughter, Tina Donoho (companion, Jason Wade) of Camden, TN; son, Shawn Donoho (companion, Jessie Grice) of Frankfort; six brothers, Gary Donoho (companion, Robin) of Terre Haute, Dennis (Helen) Donoho of Sedalia, Marvin (Marsha) Donoho of Frankfort, Steven (Pam) Donoho of Monticello, Lee (Thelma) Donoho of Frankfort, and Harry (Cindy) Donoho of Ohio; sister, Christine Orlega of Enterprise, AL; and three grandsons, Cody Paxton (companion, Kalyla Lyons), Jon Wade, and Nick Wade.
Visitation for Darrell will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013, from 3:00 â 7:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Masters officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
