Darrell J. Sharp

Darrell J. Sharp, 57, of Frankfort passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at IU Health Hospital in Lafayette.  He was born July 19, 1959 in Lafayette to James Nelson and Edith Faye (Hale) Sharp.

Darrell was a United States Army National Guard veteran, having served in Kuwait, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.  He worked for Hendrickson International in Lebanon for over 17 years.  Simply put, Darrell took care of his family and friends.  He enjoyed fishing and camping.  He also loved watching sports, especially Purdue football and Pittsburg Steelers.

In 1999, Darrell married Tina Heller, and they have been together for 26 years.  She survives with their son, Derrek Sharp of Kokomo; granddaughter, Jaedyn; and sister, Katrina Bell of Frankfort.

Visitation for Darrell Sharp will be from 2-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016 Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with Paul Whittaker officiating.  Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort with military graveside honors.  Donations in memory of Darrell may be made to the Clinton County Honor Guard.
