Davaun Hubert Walker, 84, Frankfort, died at 8:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.
He was born July 4, 1927, in Clinton County, to Charles Elmer and Mary Elizabeth (Reed) Walker.
He married Marilou Knotts Feb. 12, 1949. She survives.
Mr. Walker worked at Nickel Plate Railroad and Penn Central Railroad from 1948 to 1975 as a clerk. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church, and enjoyed music, woodworking and working outside in his yard. He also did painting and wallpapering for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Rebecca S. (Paul) Robbins of Frankfort; a son: Max E. (Mary Ellen) Walker of Frankfort; four grandchildren: Alisha LaPorte of North Carolina, Megan Robbins of Wisconsin, Shawn Walker of Frankfort and Ryan Walker of Frankfort; and two great-grandchildren: Roeman and Gracelyn Victoria LaPorte.
He was preceded in death by a son: Rex Walker; seven sisters and four brothers.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Genda Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Klipp officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Antioch Christian Church.
