David Lewis
David Lewis, 84, of Frankfort, died on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at his home.
He was born August 3, 1928, in Crown Point, the son of Roy and Hattie (Lottes) Lewis.
On April 29, 1951, he married the former Beverly Burtner; she survives.
David graduated from Crown Point High School in 1946. He moved to Frankfort in 1991. David worked for U.S. Steel for over 30 years before his retirement. After his retirement, he worked for a nursery for one year. David was a member of the United Steelworkers Union.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Mark A. (wife, Susanne) Lewis of Virginia, Brent Troy (wife, Patricia) Lewis of South Carolina, Valerie Ann (husband, Terry) Swanson of Indiana, Sandra Lynn (husband, Gregory) Brashear of Kentucky, and Gayle R. (husband, Charles) Jansen of Frankfort; two sisters, Anita and Helen; eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harry and Charles; and two sisters, Shirley and Marie.
Per Davidâs wishes, private family services will be held following his cremation.
Memorials in Davidâs name may be made to American Heart Association.
