Deena Howe

Deena Lynne Howe, 46, of Lake in the Hills, IL, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016, at her home.

She was born July 21, 1969, in Lafayette, to Richard and Wilma Elliott Howe; her parents survive in Mulberry.

Deena graduated from Clinton Prairie High School in 1987.  She graduated from Ivy Tech in 1988.  Deena worked at Meijer as a supervisor at the service desk for 21 years.  She was a member of Mulberry United Methodist Church and former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, Deena is survived by her sister, Denita (Gary) Dieterle of Merrillville; brother, Craig (Kim) Howe of Martinsville; three nieces, one nephew, two great nephews, and one great niece.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Harley Helm officiating.  Burial will follow in Fair Haven Cemetery.  Memorials in Deena’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Mulberry United Methodist Church.
